プラヤーグラージ — 聖地の王
河： トリヴェーニー・サンガム — ガンガー、ヤムナー、そして目に見えぬサラスヴァティーが一つに交わる合流点。 周期： グルがヴリシャバ（金牛宮）、スーリヤとチャンドラがマカラ（磨羯宮）にあるとき。
シャーストラ（聖典）はプラヤーグをティールタラージャ — 他のすべての聖地がその前に頭を垂れる王 — と呼びます。ここでブラフマー神は創造の最初のヤジュニャ（供犠）を執り行いました。またここの砂州で行うひと月にわたるカルパヴァースの誓願は、幾時代分ものタパスヤー（苦行）に等しいと言われます。2025年のマハー・クンブ — 144年に一度の頂点 — には6億6千万人を超える巡礼者が訪れ、人類史上最大の集まりとなりました。
参拝の功徳： サンガムでの沐浴は、数え切れぬ生涯のカルマを洗い流すとされます。クンブの時期以外でも、サンカルパ（誓願）を立てて合流点に浸ることは、新たな門出 — 新しい事業、新しい誓い、人生の新しい章 — のための古典的な作法とされています。
プラヤーグラージでの次のクンブ：周期は2030年代に巡ってきます。なお、マーグ・メーラはそれとは関わりなく毎年1月に営まれます。
हरिद्वार · Brahma Kund
ハリドワール — ハリ神の門
河： 平野に入るところのガンガー。 周期： グルがクンバ（水瓶宮）、スーリヤがメーシャ（白羊宮）にあるとき。 次回： アルダ・クンブ、2027年1月14日〜4月20日。
七つのモークシャ・プリー（解脱の都）の一つであり、バドリー・ケーダールへの入口であると同時に、解脱への入口でもあります。アムリットはハル・キ・パウリーのブラフマ・クンドに落ちました。ここにはヴィシュヌ神の足跡が祀られ、夕べのガンガー・アールティーが幾世紀にもわたって絶えることなく灯され続けています。カンカルにあるダクシャのヤジュニャ・ブーミ（供犠の地）は、この街をシヴァ神の最も古い悲しみと恩寵に結びつけています。
Benefit of visiting: Ganga at Haridwar is snana-mukti water — the bath of release. Pilgrims bring their beginnings (mundan, janeu) and their endings (asthi-visarjan) to the same ghats: the whole arc of life is sanctified here.
नासिक · गोदावरी
Nashik-Trimbakeshwar — Rama's River

The only Kumbh with two capitals: Ramkund in Nashik's Panchavati — the exile-home of Shri Rama, Sita and Lakshmana — and Kushavarta Kund beside the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, where the Godavari emerges. Ramayana and Jyotirlinga in one sacred field.
Benefit of visiting: the Godavari at Nashik is Bharat's foremost water for the ancestors — pitru-karya, shraddha and asthi-visarjan; the Simhastha snan is held to free both the bather and their lineage.
उज्जयिनी · शिप्रा
Ujjain — the City of Mahakal

Avantika, Moksha-puri and the zero-meridian of Hindu astronomy, ruled forever by Mahakaleshwar — the south-facing Jyotirlinga of Time. Kal Bhairav guards its gates, Harsiddhi Shakti Peeth blazes at its heart, and Krishna himself studied here at Sandipani's ashram.
Benefit of visiting: Ujjain is where one makes peace with time — graha-shanti on the Shipra ghats, freedom from the fear of death in Mahakal's darshan, and the Bhasma Aarti's daily reminder that all things return to sacred ash.
One nectar, four doors
The four cities are not four separate pilgrimages but four doors into one event — the moment the eternal touched the earthly. Guru's twelve-year circuit strings them into a garland: wherever he stands, there the nectar stirs, and there Bharat walks. To visit all four across the cycle is considered a complete Kumbh parikrama of a lifetime.
